Invitation to IOF Event Advisers Clinic in Canada
An IOF Event Advisers Clinic will be held in conjunction with the North American Orienteering Championships 2010 in Canada. Canadian Orienteering Federation and United States Orienteering Federation welcome you to the clinic.
Date & time: Monday July 5 2010 and Tuesday July 6 2010
Clinic site: Trickle Creek Lodge, Kimberley, BC, Canada

Course Content:
Understanding of the task of an IOF Event Adviser
Deeper understanding of the nature of orienteering and each format of foot-O (long, middle, sprint, relay)
Understanding of the IOF rules and requirements for international competition
The course will include a short field exercise in course controlling
Course Materials:
The following IOF publications will be used at the Clinic:
• IOF FootO Competition Rules
• International Specification for Orienteering Maps, ISOM
• International Specification for Sprint Orienteering Maps, ISSOM
• IOF Control descriptions
• The Leibnitz Convention
• IOF guidelines for WRE, WMOC and JWOC
These documents are available on the IOF website (www.orienteering.org) and participants will need to bring the documents with them to the clinic. They should be read through beforehand.
