Ski Orienteering World Cup: Tomilova and Khrennikov are clear leaders

The last but one individual race, over Middle distance, was won by the two leaders of the overall standings: the Russians Natalya Tomilova who now leads by 54 points and Eduard Khrennikov, ahead by 89.

Khrennikov achieved the more convincing victory, by a margin of 23 seconds over fellow countryman Andrey Grigoriev who is second-placed in the standings. The much-improved Norwegian Lars Moholdt, Norway finished in third place a further 5 seconds down. Tomilova’s win was by 15 seconds over Marte Reenaas, Norway who also now holds second place in the standings. Olga Novikova, Kazakhstan continued her very consistent season with third position, 38 seconds slower than Reenaas.

The final individual race over Ultra-long distance is on Wednesday.
